Grab a bike and ride it on the GRAB.

The GRAB, the GRA of the bike, is a gorgeous project for the construction of a pedestrian/cycling ring of nearly 45km which develops entirely within the city of Rome. It is a light infrastructure, low cost and highly profitable economic and cultural, a magnet for new types of tourism, from cycling turists to fans of urban trekking. The route, entirely flat, spread mainly along pedestrian walkways and bicycle paths, parks and river banks (31.9 km, equal to 72.2% of the route). Other 4 km (8.1%) are developed on the sidewalk that can easily accommodate a cycle and 6.8 km (15.4%) concerned roads and very low traffic flow. Only 1,900 meters of GRAB are congested, currently, by an intense flow of motorized vehicles. Once sewn between them these long segments already easily passable by bikers, the capital will have a green corridor that will broadcast unique and irreproducible in the imagination of those who live in Rome and those who live as a tourist the idea that it’s a city easy, friendly, livable, healthy, safe and vanguard. The GRAB is the longest urban bike lane in the world and at the same time is a long journey, a continuous discovery, a fascinating lesson of history that starting from a 2,300 years old road – the Appia Antica – arrives at the contemporary architecture of MAXXI (National Museum of XXI Century Art) and to the street art of Quadraro and Torpignattara , reaches Colosseum, Circus Maximus, Caracalla, St. Peter’s and the Vatican, parks and agricultural landscapes exceptional and unexpected (Aqueducts and Caffarella), historical villas (Villa Gordiani, Villa Borghese, Villa Ada), the river routes of Tiber and Aniene Almone. It also connects to existing bicycle routes (such as the bikeline of the Tiber) or pedestrian paths in parks and villas that make up the total length of the routes for cycling about 200 kilometers. So, what are you waiting for? Come to Wheely, Grab a bike and start your urban adventure!
