The tour start from the Convent of Sant’Angelo di Vetralla where it’s possible to stay and upon request visit the famous Hermitage of San Girolamo too . The tour heads straight for the town of San Martino al Cimino with mild slope.
Once in San Martino quick visit to the famous Abbey of the Cistercian Monks of the thirteenth century and then uphill to 750 meters of altitude. From here the way descend rapidly towards the lake . Lake tour of 19 km 2 of which on country path . After 30 km we enter in the Natural Reserve of Vico at 620mt altitude . The tour goes on for 8 km of country path slightly downhill . The exit of the Reserve cross the road that will take us back uphill for 3 km to the starting point . This paved road during the Easter period is used for the Via Crucis, then you can see along the sides of it the 15 Stops . Total 40 Km and elevation of 870mt.
